There are four of these traditional tanneries still being used in Fes. Cow, sheep and goat skins are cured, stretched, scraped and dyed still in the traditional way since the 13th century.

Indeed bloody red...love this compo wanda...initially from the thumbnail i thought it was india...in mumbai..a similar place..i would love to see a wide shot here..this is tight..

Hi Wanda,

I've seen these tanneries in the book "The Earth Seen from the Sky" from Yann Arthus-Bertrand and other than the odours, I think it's a fantastic place to make photography.

Very impressive sight and tradition, a photo that tells a lot about hard way to make a living. Nice composition with the subject very well placed and good light as well.

I can also change the colour of clothes without all this installation... :-P)

A good follow up with this red colour after the yellow one!

Red looks good to me ;-)
Despite the harsh light its color is strong enough to stand out, and the guy is well placed in the composition.

Very nice shot - the reds are amazing and strong in this well framed shot. Slightly crooked if i may critique the only thing that could be changed.
