Photographer’s Note
The great mosque in Kairouan, also known as the Sidi Okba Mosque (after the founder of Kairouan who built the first mosque on this site) is considered the fourth holiest site for the Muslims, right after Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem. The present day mosque was built in the 9th century. Over 400 columns from Carthage and other ancient sites were reused in building the mosque.

you have very special sense for architecture; for harmony and order...and this photo, well what to say...it's just GREAT; I like the repetition (translation) in this photo and symethry of course...
