Photographer’s Note

I took this photo during Festival Kraton Nasional in Jogjakarta, Indonesia. In this event, all the Indonesia ancient kingdom teams got together, marched around the city, and put up some shows which showed the richness of their cultures.

very good justaposition of beautiful and old, and what poise on her part!

I am not sure if it's due to cropping, but i think you should have let this image breathe a little bit at the edges, especially not cutting the lady's hairdo, and remove the blue blur bottom left.

I hope we'll see more portraits from you.

also, the DOF is too equal thru-out and the foucs should have been on her face, here lacking sharpness.

Technically has some problems, however, I like contradiction in the photos, so I like it. Also it has a good example of orange-dark blue contrast.

A lot of contrasts: subjects, colors, etc. Interesting peek into their life.:)

Nice capture. Though it miss a little sharpness, I really like the colors, the contrast young beautiful women in yellow and old man in a darker color. The woman is quite serious but I really like the expression of old man.

Very contrasting Aryono. Seorang perawan muda dan orang lelaki tua. This potrait makes you appreciates young and beauty, because you could see where young and beauty go, as time goes by. WHile young and beauty could go forward, the old could only glance.

Technically, you purposely "soft" focused this because our camera gears is more or less the same and I know how sharply it could focus even in low light. There's also a sense of spatial respect from you. Most Asian has this tendency to respect other people's space and privacy.
