Photographer's Note

Het Steen Castle in Antwerpen has seen many changes through centuries. First stone fortifications were erected in 9th century. It has been a fortress, a prison and a maritime museum. What is left today is just small part from what it used to be.
The giant sculpture in front of the castle is Lange Wapper, a mythical demon known in many folklore tales in the Antwerp area.
