Photographer’s Note
I must tell you that I didn't took this photo but my girlfriend. I've only cropped it, did some PS,but anyway, here is my artwork.

Every ceremony is a start of something new. And here is my initiation "ceremony" as a traditional balinese wood carver.
We've spent all day in a museum to take art courses, me for wood carving and my girlfriend for traditional balinese painting.
This artwork is made of teak wood and is a stilisation of lotus flower (the real one you can see it in my previous post.) and after five hours of work is not finished yet.
On the left is the Apprendice and on the right is the Master looking that everything goes right.
We've spent here our last day in Bali and it was really beautiful.
If you have any questions...

Well done Tomi; not only a photographer but a woodcarver....
I like your treatment of this photo, tightly cropped to show the "action". Sepia is also a good choice as it echoes the colour of the wood.

Bonjour Tomi,

complimenti!!
ciao, Fabio.

You can tell your girlfriend that she also has an eye for a good shot. The sephia works very well here; it combines well with the subject: (ancient) craftsmanship. Nice with the hands working, good composition.

Hi Tomi,
An unusual but very artistic sot. The sepia and white motif work very well. The amount of white pant leg showing is a little distracting, but does not detract from the overall success of the shot. The fine detail and the delicate wood carving in progress is most interesting and well seen. An original, ingeinous shot, Tomi. Well done.

Hi Tommi
Great shot and nice craving you got here. Love the sphia tone effect. Blended pretty good with the picture.
Maybe you should encourage your girlfriend to join in, in TE as well, since she got the photography skill.
Well done, Tommi and hope to see more of your posting.

And I like this one too for the details of woodcarving, nicely croppped on the learning and teachers hands and a very warm sepia tone.
