... (full story) (95 photos)

This was my first trip to the South Island of New Zealand. I've heard wonderful things about the scenery and have always wanted to go there.
Places that we visited - Christchurch, Queenstown, Kingston, Five Rivers, Manapouri, Te Anau, Wanaka, Cromwell, Gibbston Valley, Arrowtown, Glenrochy, Kelvin Heights, Walter Peak and everywhere in between! ... (full story) (24 photos)

Tongariro Crossing by Cecile Colruyt
(1081) 2006-02-15 - 2006-02-15
The Tongariro Crossing is probably the most famous one-day hike in New Zealand.
On 15 febr. 2006 my husband and me did this spectacular walk between the volcanos. It was a bright sunny day with only a few clouds; just enough for the photografy. ... (full story) (13 photos)

My husband Dave and I were away for a few days, travelling north of Auckland and staying at Hokianga, Kerikeri and Whangarei.
I hope you will enjoy my photos taken on this trip. We know this area well, and always love to 'go north' again. ... (full story) (13 photos)

A year in New Zealand by Michiel Rutteman (29) 2003-08-28 - 2004-08-09
Form August 2003 to August 2004 me and my girlfriend have lived in New Zealand for almost a year. I've done the most wonderful things there like making radio, hapkido, swing dance and working at a school for mentally disabled children. Of course we did our share of travelling and we met some of the nicest people I will ever know!
The pictures posted here can range from your tipically tourist pic to pictures that were taken from a "local" point of view.
Hopefully I can share my experience with you a bit by posting some of my photo's.
Have fun! (3 photos)

I felt sorry for the Rotaruans, they have a large town built around tourist infrastructure. Maori history and the thermal activity draw the crowds here. But the entire town was blanketed with a sulphuric rotten egg smell. ... (full story) (1 photo)

The Kai Iwi Lakes by Nick Miles
(650) 2004-05-24 - 2004-05-30
Later that day, yes it was beautiful, sun shining not a cloud in the sky that sort of thing we went for a walk or tramp as they are called here. The country side in the far North is lush and green; think ‘far from the madding crowd, sheep dotted hillsides’ with the occasional smattering of palm trees and tropical plants. ...
