I see adventure Zoe. I sense excitement and the thrills. I feel the exhiliration, hearing the sound of the oar, breaking into the water. I smell, campfire smokes and the rustling of leaves and the creaking of branches. And maybe...did it ever occur to you, a resting canoe is a dying canoe, just like a dog with no one to walk or play with. Take your camera Zoe and take the canoe for a walk :)

Dear Zoe, I read your intro and need to disagree with you. You don't need to go so far away to shoot anything worthwhile for anyone. Even your own backyard or someone's else and the countryside you are in, and taking it seriously with expressive/narrative composition and exposure, is fine. Work your subject well wherever they are and you come out happy with it. Regards Bani

Not bad for a disposable!. The horizon is not level which could be corrected on computer. However the composition is good and I like the way you have placed the different elements within the shot. Hurry up and get a good camera and get shooting! Welcome to TE Regards Colin

Hi Zoe good use of the tilt in the horizon to induce the interest of the viewers. (I hope you will know what I mean)... I love this composition with the reflections in the lake ... I am getting jealous of your disposable, It adds great character to the photos .... very eerie composition indeed ... loved it ... its a keeper all the way thanks for the share ... :-)) cheers ... sarju
