so sad! isnt it! and i completely agree to ur feeling of "not to intrude". Sigh! I had similar problem in taking a picture of an old woman playing accordion in a busy glasgow street during xmas. Although she was in a much better shape than this poor old lady and the child, I had problems in taking close potrait of her. I cud feel she didnot like me taking her snap, but I could not resist, as the caption was already in my mind. Eventually had to take one from far and crop it afterwards as I donot have a big zoom lens! Great potrait!

great shot!! The purple sky although looks unreal, adds more magick to the picture!

OMG!! This one is my fav of ur shots!! I wonder what this shot would have been, had the boats formed a more artistic pattern! a bit of weeping meadow!

I guess this in Esplanade! Once again great exposure. No wonder, you had to increase the brightness.

with only f/5.0 you got such nice dof! i prob would have tried a larger f value to obtain a better dof! but then it looks wonderful. The details of the building windows, the cars, and the seagulls, everything appear to be in focus. great pov also!

Yes! It's an original shot! But would have loved to see the tower at far end straight and not inclined. Nevertheless bravo for breaking the rules :-)
