Splendid - I was there two months after you and wild flowers were growing which added something extra to the scene; however, I wasn't there for such a good light. You have an excellent composition here and your skill shows.

Great light on this wonderful little place. I never saw a Lidl or a super market in Albania either, but there are plenty in Macedonia and Greece, so perhaps they make there way from there. I met someone living in Albania going to Macedonia just for shopping because the costs of towels/blankes/soap can be up to 1/6 the price apparently. I think she really just wanted an excuse to do a little traveling.

Wonderful framing from the house wall onto the well lit museum plus a good note.

I like the way the three figures in the foreground are all different in expression, but all the same distance from the lens. The background is like a backdrop on a stage set. Nice effect.

Good capture of the place, though perhaps strong use of a polarizer. I enjoy your extensive notes that put things into context. As for the image, the yellows are balanced - the building on the top left and the chairs in the bottom right, the blues flow clockwise into grey and then into the yellow building via the cars. It's a pleasing wander for the eye.

I bet this one would have looked different if you took it in the 1970s... the clothing is very Western here. Anyway, it is still a glimpse into a fascinating place.

Wow, you certainly have loads of travel stories! If you are ever in London, England, look up the Globetrotters travel club on the 1st Saturday of most months. The photo shows the drummer but there is that space time thing again - it feels like another world and to get there, we need to travel in the 4th dimension. Just like returning to our childhood. I would have been only 4 years old then. Your images can make us think about these places and the places we are/were.

What caught my eye about the picture was how short this man's fingers on his right hand appear. Then the interesting note explained a lot of background information so I could appreciate this travel image in good context. Thanks for giving good captions - I really enjoy reading them and looking at your images.

It's great seeing your photo archive come alive. Not only are we arm chair travelling to a different place, we are going to a different time also.
