    Hello Malgo,
    At first sight I thought it was a park, So when I found out that you took it inside the metro, I was surprised to find such a pleasant atmosphere inside a crowdy place which aldso moves so much. Good idea to convert in BW . I would certainly enjoy to have taken it myseld and show it around.

    Keep well - Friendship - Izzet

    Salut Jean,

    Cette merveilleuse photo tombe juste a point avant notre départ pour les îles LOFOTEN où nous pensons nour rendre durant la première semainede Septembre: je m'attend a un temps froid et pluvieux, espérons que nous aurons quand même quelques rayons de soleil.
    On loue une voiture à l'aéroport de Narvik, et on loge a Reine, et on va se balader d'une île à l'autre.
    Il faudra se lever tres tôt quelques fois. En tous cas ta photo m'inspire et me fait penser au meilleur.

    Hi Abie;

    I have to agree, the image could be a bit sharper, and I'd suggest maybe placing the horizon a bit lower in the frame to add more impact to the shot. The other thing to be careful of is the PP (post production) work you have done to darken the top part of the image. This is considered excessive PP and could result in the image being removed by the moderators.

    All the best,
    - Dan

    Salut Marc,

    Une occasion pour te dire bonjour, et aussi te dire que cette photo est en effet particulièrement réussie. Une photo d'ambiance, avec des couleurs naturelles qui n'ont pas été gâtées par la lumière fluorescente. Des métiers qui ont tendance à disparaitre. Il semble que tes photos de Turquie sont très fructueuses, on désire voir la suite.
    A bientôt et bonne fin de semaine - Amicalement - Izzet

    Bonsoir mon bon ami Philippe,
    Comme tu le sais j'ai presque quitté TE depuis bien longtemps et je ne poste des photos qu'en de rares occasions. Justement je suis en train de terminer la classification des photos de St Petersburg et en écrivant les sous-titres j'ai donc envoyé quelques unes .Ceci m'a permis de renouer avec mes anciens amis de TE dont tu fais partie.
    J'ai choisi une photo presque au hasard, toutes sont l'une plus belle que l'autre. Mais ici l'atmosphere plus particulière du moulin qui prend la lumière et se reflète dans le ruisseau m'a vivement impressionné.

    Cet été commence mal, avec la politique dans notre région, et les chaleurs précoces: Je n'ai pont organisé de voyage, la gaité ma manque un peu.
    J'espère que de votre côté tout marche bien et ceci dit je te souhaite un tres bon été, fructueux avec des prises de vue superbes. Amicalement - Izzet

    Salut Claude,
    Une photo qui ne manque d'attırer le regard si on jette on coup d'oeil a ton joli site.
    Certain diront que les couleurs sont trop saturées, mais j'estime que cela fait un effet boeuf: j'aurais toutefois souhaité le ciel un peu moins noir.

    Je te souhaite une bonne fin de semaine - Izzet

    Hello,
    Although the picture seems attractive at first glance, I think that there are some tactical mistakes in the graphism. I believe that there are two ways of shooting architecture: Either We respect the verticals and shoot the building as it looks or we raise the camera with a particular angle and then the shape changes completely. But sometimes the photographer can find an attractive angle and we may also like this kind of dynamic result. But what I am not sure of is the fact that in this particular case you have chosen symmetry which does not really look symmetrical. I would have preferred a deliberate raising of the camera and a better control of the two sides .

    Selam Burcu,
    Ben aylardır TE'ye fotograf göndermemiştim, Atina dönüşü Olimpiyat kemerlerinden bu akşam bir fotograf gönderdim. O sırada ne seni ne de bu fotografı görmüştüm, Daha sonra Santiaho Calatrava diye not düştüm ve birçok fotograf arasından bunu keşfettim. Birçoğu belki önemsiz.. Ama seni kutlarım, tam kafama göre.. Siyah beyazıyla, grafiği ve yerleştirmesi ile mükemmel olmuş. Tebrikler sevgiler - Izzet Keribar

    I'm sorry, but if I'm being honest I have to disagree with all the other people who've critiqued this shot. The sky doesn't look natural, almost as though it's been copy and pasted into the shot. The overall shot is quite grainy and suffers from pixelation and there's a real lack of overall sharpness. Maybe from the process you went through to resize the image? I'd like to see the original and see if I can help...

    I'm not trying to be mean, but I don't honestly see the point in giving false praise where it does not belong.

    Sincerely,
    - Dan

    Nice photo of my favorite city! I like your composition with the line of rocks leading the eye into the shot and towards the seawall.

    The only thing... your title of the posting and the title on the image are both wrongly spelt. It's 'Vancouver'.

    Hi Matthew;

    I see what you were going for here, but I think you would have been better off using a graduated ND filter to darken up the sky giving you balance to the darker ground. The overall PP work with the HDR has given the image an unrealistic look with an unnatural halo around the barn.

    When it comes to PP work, the one rule of thumb I always try to live by is that it should not be noticeable.

    All the best,
    - Dan

    Hi Axel;

    I love whale watching when back home in BC. Looks like you were quite close. I might have tried to focus on the whale vs. the boat but easier said then done when bouncing around on the waves. The other thing which is fixable in post production is the horizon correction. For shots such as this with a very obvious horizon, it's really vital to ensure they're nice and level.

    Cheers,

    At first glance I thought nice sunset, then I realized that sunset would have not been this direction- ah yes... sunrise! Hahaha

    Really like this shot, great colors. I believe what you said about not having altered the colors or touched the saturation, but inadvertantly sometimes adjusting the contrast and blacks will sometimes have an effect on it. Just something I normally watch out for... ;-)

    Must have been a bit chilly that time of the morning?

    Hi Craig;

    Yes, I'm a sucker for architectural shots too. Again it looks as though you fixed the keystoning here as well (which i appreciate). The only thing I find distracting are those darn powerlines which I might have been tempted to try cloning out. Just be careful with the saturation as the blues here are starting to look a bit overly 'neon'.

    Nice shot Craig;

    The first thing that comes to my attention is the lack of keystoning. Did you sort that in Photoshop?

    Excellent exposure as you managed some good detail in the shadows as well.

    Nice work!
