Default Exposure used

Hi Kristine,

This picture is excellent, but as you have used spot metering hence i would just like to know how did you fix up the exposure or to say which subjects exposure is used to capture this picture.

Have a great day.

Default Re: Exposure used

hello Udayaditya,

I almost always use spot metering, I find it gives me better control and helps to avoid overexposure. if I use spot metering, I always meter off the brightest area, in this case - the clouds. depending on the situation I can either try an exposure compensation to retain details in the dark areas, or I can work on these areas from RAW file. hope this helps :)

best,
Kristine

Hi Kristine,

Thanks a lot for your reply. Infact i also try and use spot metering most of the time and have seen the quality is fas better than the other metering modes.

Thanks once again
