Great Disabled_A 2010-04-14 13:52

Hello Udayaditya,
this is a very heartwarming scene :) the composition could be better, perhaps, but I like the mood of the scene :)
Also, a good explanatory Note.
Greetings from Moscow,
Elena

Default To fanni: Thanks a million...

Hi Elena,

Thanks a million for the critique and i am in full agreement with you to the fact that the composition could have been better as the size of the cat is too small in front of the human figure. May be i should have lowered myself a little bit more. What do u feel.

Thanks and Best regards
Udayaditya

Hi Udayaditya,
concerning the composition
of this photo with the cat sitting at the door... I am not sure that the composition would be much better if you lowered yourself a little.... but the best composition and POV might have been achieved if you put your camera on the ground or lay yourself on the ground - ......

In that case you would be able to capture both the cat and the people indoors much better... + also got an original low POV!

Low POV helps a lot in many cases. At least I used it in at least three cases:

1) here (I placed the camera on my foot and shot almost without looking - just guessed approximately the correct compostion)

2) here (I did not lie down but was very close to it!)

3) here (I almost kneel down on the stairs)

In my photo-practice I try to follow one rule: when you take photos of an object, take as many photos with slightly different POV and composition as possible. You can always delete the worst afterwards!

Kind regards,
Elena

Hi Elena,

I saw the pictures that you have provided as an examples through the various links. They are really beautiful and the most important thing is that the low POV gives a different dimension to the picture and shows a view which is not generally seen by human beings.

Thanks a lot, I will try and create something like this when i click next time.

Thanks and best regards
Udayaditya
