You do not need visa to Ukraine.
Since September 1st according to a presidential decree EU citizens DO NOT NEED visa to enter Ukraine and can stay in Ukraine WITHOUT VISA UP to 60 days!

That's great news to hear. I've been talking to other travelers over this weekend and the Ukraine is now a friendly border crossing. Unfortunately, I don't have an EU passport. Anyway, someday I hope to make it to the Ukraine.

I made mistake its 90 days you can stay without visa in Ukraine. You must be US citizen? US, Canada, Japan citizens do not need visas to Ukraine, just like EU and UK citizens dont...Russia, Mongolia, Belarus, Moldova, Poland, Hungary...most of countries dont need visa to go to Ukraine. Not sure about Israel and Australia.
