I agree with having the copyright warning on each page, but don't see the value of the other suggestion. There are so many ways around it there seems little point in implementing it. As a way round the copy suppression is required for members to WS it would seem to be even more pointless.

This would stop the ability to copy and paste as well as "save picture as"
This wouldn't stop anything as the pictures gets downloaded anyway in your computer prior to be displayed in you browser. One just need to look for them in the browser's cache and make a copy of them. |

Actually this is not true. Not in the U.S. anyway. The "fair use" doctrine means that people can use copyrighted material without asking for permission in certain circumstancs. (For example, maybe a student wants to use a photo in a school report, etc.)

I doubt if anybody on this site would object to a student using one of their images in a report. The concern is about the theft of images and their use for commercial gain.

Using an image in a report is one thing. Linking to an image and even using someone elses images in a design can be flattering, but I've found my pictures and other members downloaded off of TrekEarth and put onto this site and several others:
