I did not write this in engliche with Tarzan's help, hope you'll understand... ;-) Hava naiz deyy JY |

Loic-
You may also want to check out CaptureOne software. I use it exclusively. In my opinion, it is the best on the market for processing RAW. Its not the cheapest though! ~V~ |

Bonjour Loic,
Although I have Corel's Paint shop pro x2, the ones I use most are Lightroom and Photoshop CS2. Lightroom mostly for B&W conversions as, IMO, it works much better than PS to do them, also you have a much better control on light settings there. After doing most of the PP work there, I export a TIFF file for PS CS2 and normally what I do there is only sharpening, for that PS really is superior IMO and convert the final file to JPEG to upload it to the WEB. About Aperture I cannot give an opinion because I never tested it. Finally, and always IMO, LR is very good, it might take you some moments to get used to its workflow but after you do it, you will enjoy it for sure. Cheers. Paulo |

I have not used Apeture. However, I own and use Lightroom and find it absolutely wonderful. It is easy to use, very intuitive, the interface is elegant, and the edit tools are more than I will ever need.
I currently have over 16000 photos in LR; I don't know how I could keep track of them without LR. I use it to store photos, add copyrights, edit, including crop, brightness, and exposure, and finally to create pdf sideshows. Lightroom is terrific. You can download a trial version. |

I have aperature and use it for sorting and archiving my RAW shots. I like the editing but have not found a way to export what I want so I do editing and export in Nikon Capture NX.
