Hi Les
Turning it into bl/w really makes this shot come alive. I think this is superior to your previous shot from more or less the same location.
Terrific composition with that lonely figure just so perfectly placed. I also like the noise and grainy effect here, resulting in a timeless picture. The lines on the sky are a bit weird, though. Are they meant to add a bit of surrealism to the scene? Fascinating, but strange...
My favourite detail, though, are the daffodils on the side of the road. They don't even need colour to shine here.
Great shot & have a fine weekend.
Benny
PS: I just noticed the "previous shot from more or less the same location", which I refered to, was by Jade's gran. ;)

Hello Benny, thanks for your kind and comprehensive critique, the previous shot was of course taken by my wife,we were on our way to the shops before we saw this lovely sight.
![]() There are two versions of this shot, one without the lines in the sky and this one,the lines appeared when I increased the contrast,I thought along the same lines as you, that they added a slightly surreal touch,it seems that they do not meet universal approval! Can`t win them all.... Best regards Les. ![]() |
