I attended a seminar this weekend by a National Geographic photographer, Nevada Wier. She is headed (today!) back to India, which she loves. She told the class, "India is ALL ABOUT color!" I think you have demonstrated that here very, very well.

Well, Nevada Wier is 100% right. Although I have to add that you will find more colorful homes in the village. Closer to the city, the colors get duller and sometimes only beige walls are the norm. But any Southern Indian village like Tamil Nadu or Karnataka will have a typical scene as depicted.
The most captivating colors are Chettinadu, you must research their homes and tiles. And Jaipur architecture and colors. It will blow your mind! I am waiting to go back to India and make a trip to Jaipur. ![]() |
