Your note is very saddening, and to be brutally honest, I have not even heard this reported. Such a despicable act and the media don't pick up on it, certainly from my part of the world. This child's eyes have seen things no child should, and just as you say, education is the key to humanity. Those who destroy that are destroying our way of life as a species .
This is a beautiful and poignant portrait shot. Not only the base of the main subject but also the guy behind. Really great photo and thanks for the very interesting note.
