Great holmertz 2022-10-03 7:10

Hello Bev,
Despite some fine bright details I wonder if the main photo wouldn't also have looked great in B&W. It could have created a nice atmosphere of the 1940's. Did you see the legendary film 'Brief encounter'?
But it's anyway a fine steam engine that seems to be in perfect condition. And as always a diagonal benefits the composition. Both WS are also full of fine details.

Thank you for your kind remarks on my Kasia memorial. I think reproducing the book from one single copy, without access to the original photos, would be difficult. I also think she would have written it in a different way if she had intended it for a wider public.
Kind regards,
Gert

Thank you for your warm critique and suggestion, Gert.
You are absolutely right, it does make a great b&w photograph.

I might repost it in b&w.!

You are the only one who has read Kasia's book and I trust your judgement on whether it would be pertinent to share it publicly.

My warm regards,
Bev :-)
