Hi Biswaroop,
WOW! This is a really amazing shot. Did you enhance the colors after HDR? So rich and warm, beautifully presented.
Well done,
Shaeri

Hello Shaeri,
Thanks very much for your comment. Yes - I had imported the 3 photographs to Lightroom, exported to photomatix, tonemapped the HDR, reimported and edited in LR. In general, the raw HDR tonemap is not saturated enough (and the controls in photomatix are very unwieldy). Lot of processing, but the there was no loss of detail... I must say, you have an absolutely incredible gallery! Lots of stuff to learn from... By the way - was just looking through: do you use the Tokina 11-16 f/2.8 by any chance? Because I'm planning on getting it for the d80; just wondering what your impressions are on the lens (esp in landscape and photojournalism) . I've heard only good things about it... cheers, biswaroop Last edited by bmukherjee; 03-04-2010 at 03:14 AM. Reason: lens |

Yes, I highly recommend the tokina 11-16mm 2.8 lens. It is very sharp and very fast. Was very handy inside museums and churches. Go for it!
