Hello Biswaroop,
This is an astonishingly beautiful shot of the Nanda Devi. I cannot believe that a mountain soaring to 7815 m can be only the 23rd highest peak. Evocative of a canine tooth, it is so very steep, virtually vertical in one area. Did you shoot in RAW mode, or jpg? In the former, you may have recovered some of the information.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Bulent,
Thanks for your thoughtful comment. There are a lot of 8000m peaks in Nepal and the Karakoram, which take the first 23 places (all in the Himalayas). Indeed the peak is like a canine tooth - never thought about it in that way before! I actually shot the photo in RAW, and I did recover some info, but I suppose not too much. Maybe I'll change the noise reduction parameters next time... Best wishes, biswaroop |
