The quickest way to add a copyright symbol under Windows is to press and hold the Alt key, type 0169, and then release the Alt key. When you release the Alt key the symbol should appear like this © :-)

Although Alt-0169 for © will work in Windows, using © for © is better when the text will appear on a web page because it will show correctly on all fonts in all browsers on all computers (in theory) and can be typed on Macs and Unix boxes, too.

Agreed. I forgot to mention that it wouldn't work on other platforms, and that it might not work correctly on non-English versions of Windows.
I didn't mention © because I was referring to adding copyright symbols to images - entity names don't work so well in Photoshop ;-) |
