Nice and perfect subject

Hi TE I'm newbie in this site, upon reading some of the forum I learned a lot of things about photography, I want to ask for your great advices and mastery for the following questions of mine.

1. how to choose the best subjects for photo shooting?
2. what are the tips for proper angle when shooting for your subjects?

Hi Frederick,

I think there is not such thing as a "best subject". Every subject is the best one at a certain moment in the eyes of the one who is painting, drawing, sculpting or photographing...
Same thing for the "proper angle" that you are looking for, your eyes will tell you which way you must approach your subject. It's a feeling. Just send us your photos and we may be able to "suggest" a way to improve but the choice is yours, always.

Hello Frederick - There is no 'best' subject for photography. If you look through the galleries on the site you will seem countless subjects and countless styles. A good place to start is by looking at peoples' work and noting down which shots appeal to you and why? Perhaps it is the colour, or the subject etc. etc. Coupled with this, it helps to decide what things interest you personally. There's not much point taking photographs of subjects you don't 'connect' with. Photography is not only about technique but also emotions. Do you want to convey a mood or make a particular statement with your image?

Regarding angles. Again this is down to composition and personal choice. There are no hard and fast rules. A good simple exercise would be for you to try photographing a subject from different points of view. Really look at the subject and look at the results. What do you see, what do you like. Use your instincts a little. There are many sites on the net which will give you basic information about composition and technique. If you are keen then it is worth your while doing a little research.
