Hello Geof,
Some very nice light and shadow contrasts over this interesting landscape with the houses dotted about outside the village. Exposure is on the whole well managed given the difficult lighting conditions though you might want to think about 'toning down' some of the lighter areas. I like the mist covered hills and the contrast they make with the valley down below.

i did muck around with this a bit to get some contrast and kept losing the highlights...i guess i could have cloned in some grey on the buildings...
the lighting was a bit strange all over madeira...lots of my shots are underexposed and yet burnt out in the highlights.. dohh!!
