Great KevRyan 2008-10-21 23:34

A busy composition full of interesting detail which gives a real sense of street life in this busy city - for me an informative photograph but maybe not the strongest composition because of the visual pull away from the well place pancake maker by the guy walking in frame from the right - just that little clip on his bag draws my eye off frame so there is a little competition for the way my eye works but on reflection and staying with the image I inevitably come back to your main subject.

best wishes Kev

Default To KevRyan: The clip on his bag

Hi Kev--Amazing how our perception systems work; for me it's the overall brightness of the right side of the frame that I wish could be reduced, to avoid the sort of distraction you describe. The clip on his bag is not even noticeable to my eye, in that wash of light. Of course, once the brain has (unconsciously) locked in on the clip, that's going to be where the eye goes. Thanks for your comment, regards, Ken.
