always pays off to revisit old shots and see them in a fresh light (excuse the pun). It makes for a fascinating image this and I would say not too OTT. It is original I will give you that and your processing has brought out all the detailing amazingly. Have you thought about a grey gradient to perhaps darken the lower half of the shot to slightly reduce the fg brightness, just a thought. Like it though!

I think next time I shoot something with a bright ground at night, I will definately use a grad in reverse
