Hello Beverley,
So your Remembrance Day is three days later than Armistice Day in Belgium.
The photo is very successful but of course remains a reminder of a long sad period in European history.
Good view with the hill in the background, the diagonal line of the wall and a glimpse of a meadow between the trees.
Best regards, Paul

Thank you for your critique, Paul.
Armistice Day is always celebrated on the the same day, 11th November, and at the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month, there is always a 2 minutes silence, even on the radio, to remember those who gave their lives during the World Wars. Remembrance Sunday is the closest Sunday to the 11th, when church services are held and poppy wreaths laid on the War Memorials. There is usually a parade through the streets from the church to the War Memorial. I’m sure something similar occurs in your country. Kind regards, Bev 😊 |
