I seem to have some issues with the sharpness on trekearth. A sharper version can be seen on flickr at: https://www.flickr.com/photos/bergensfjell/14850354751/
I had now left South Africa for Kasane, Botswana. One hour after arriving I was already out on the river watching the huge spectra of animals in Chobe National Park. Elephants, antilopes, crocodiles, hippoes, buffaloes and various birds all had their homes in these islands of the Zambezi river on the border between Botswana and Namibia.
As the sun went down and the boat was heading back to Kasane, I realized this would be a real African sunset. And indeed it was. These islands have previously caused some real border issues, but a deal had stated that when the area is flooded, the river belongs to Namibia and when the islands are above water, they are part of Chobe National Park in Botswana. These trees are standing on one of these islands in the river. In the bottom right corner you can see Namibian land.

Hi Fredrik,
This is a real beauty, this is a perfect silhouette against this warm stunning orange sky. Instantly this image drew me in as soon as I opened the gallery. A very simple subject that creates a perfect view of how nature makes the most amazing displays.
Best wishes
