Temple of Kom Ombo, a photo from Aswan, Inland

Photographer's Note

The Temple of Kom Ombo is located on the banks of the Nile in the town of that name. This was built between 1350 and 180 B.C. order of Ramses II. The divinity of the temple is Sobek, a crocodile-headed god and the human body. Later, as the people did not like to have a deity to represent evil, they added another god to worship, Haroeris (Horus the Elder).
In the temple you can visit the shrine of Hathor, where mummified crocodiles there are well preserved.

El Templo de Kom Ombo está situado a orillas del Nilo en la ciudad del mismo nombre. Este fue construido entre 1350 y 180 a.C. por orden de Ramsés II. La divinidad del templo es Sobek, un dios con cabeza de cocodrilo y cuerpo humano. Posteriormente, ya que a los habitantes no les gustaba tener una divinidad que representara el mal, agregaron otro dios al culto, Haroeris (Horus el Viejo).
En el templo se puede visitar la capilla de Hator, en la que hay unas momias de cocodrilos muy bien conservadas.

Very good photo of details of the architecture. The choice of tight frame was very good decision and allows to focus on the interesting hieroglyphics. Good colors and well given contrast. Small part of the sky peeking through gives additional depth.

A lovely crop of a very imposing columns, part of the temple of great heritage ancient site. The warm side light and colour tones are superb enhancing its delicate detail in the crafted stonework. Good exposure control and the overall effect is very eyecatching to the eye. Brilliant capture and great work, Congrats.

its very hard to photograph this subject with such harsh white lighting that I'm sure was present as the time.
but having said that, it turned out very well :)
lots of details and smaller elements to be seen.
great subject too.

great composition where you have managed to squeeze so many attractive details of the architecture. Again I had the pleasure to visit this place as well. However we were on a (not so well) organized trip and we have arrived in Kom Ombo when it was dark. Great place I would love to get back there again.
Nice light here well emphasizes the inscriptions on the pillars.

estoy sorprendido gratamente por la calidad que conserva esta foto con 27 años de edad, que has escaneado eficazmente.
Me gusta mucho el grafismo de los fantásticos elementos aqruitectónicos milenarios, la ornamentación de las columnas y los capiteles, y el buen juego de luz y sombras que aumenta la sensación tridimensional del conjunto.
Y por supuesto, aplaudo la excelente elección del encuadre vertical con un ángulo cerrado y explícito sobre lo que querías mostrarnos, así como el elegante marco.
