the great hypostile hall at the karnak temple complex at luxor..buried for 1000 years in the sand was only excavated in the 19th century
the tallest columns are 23m high.

Very good, you were able to demonstrat the size of the columns. The presence of the small clouds make me beleive that they are sky scrapers, which they are not at 23m. But they are huge for columns that were build probably more than 1000 years ago

This is a dramatic angle. The sky is fantastic against the columns. They seem truly gigantic as they are in this way. The image is a bit noisy, however, and the sunny side is a bit over exposed. Still, it's a very nicely photographed.

I like the POV- they loom over head making them seem very big & strong. It does seem a little noisy or too sharp, but its well composed. Great shot.

Beautiful picture, the sky is superb and works very well as a background for these magnificent columns. I love the perspective and the light, I know how difficult is to take photos in the sunny conditions of Egypt. Well seen and captured!

Wonderful sky! The detail of the columns is very good. You can almost feel the rough of the pillars.

Hi Geof,
I have enjoyed looking through your photographs and have picked this as my favorite. I love the contrast in colours you have here. Sky blue and beige always looks good together. But what I like most is your pov. Very nice indeed.
