Hi Stephen,
Interesting architecture and ruins, good depth effect and good human presence, perfect to give a scale at your view, photogenic contrast with these men in white, tfs.

Bonjour, cher Stephen,
Alors là, les bras m'en tombent. C'est la première fois que je vois un tel édifice.
Je ne savais pas que cela pouvait exister.
Merveilleux, un grand merci du partage.
Amitiés.

Hello Steve,
It's an incredibly fascinating view of the church hewn out of the rock, and the men down there and those above. I guess these churches are not included in any new seven wonders of the world, but maybe they should. The "rusty" colours are wonderful too.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Stephen,
What makes this photo really stunning is the contrast between the dark and dull colours of the temple and bright white colours of the monks. The POV is well-chosen too.
Best Wishes,
Gy.

Hello Steve
Amazing what the human spirit can achieve. I see the faithful are there in the midst of these works of art. Nice capture,=.

Hello Stephen,
This is difficult to believe!
I wonder how long, and how many people, it took to hew this church out of the sheer rock!
It looks frighteningly deep from this upper surface to the the level of the entry steps and yet there are no fences, no barriers to prevent an accident!
It is a superb photograph, informing viewers clearly of the style and place of this remarkable church. Your notes further inform us of its creation.
The many figures suggest this may be a very religious population, all similarly dressed for the service.
A wonderful photograph of something completely new to me.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)
