Photographer's Note
Here's another photo of one the many grass eating Galada monkeys we saw in the Simian mountains. They are endemic to the Ethiopian Highlands and the Simian Mountains, in particular.
If you compare this image to previous shots I've uploaded I'm hopeful it will look more natural. A little while ago I got a new monitor and colour calibrated it. Now older uploads look horribly yellow.

Hello Steve,
I am very disturbed by the yellow tones of many of my older scans, but they were only due to my own ignorance. I haven't been bothered by any yellow tones of your photo. Your portraits are always great, and that includes this lovely photo. It's also incredibly sharp. I would never trust a monkey, so I'm impressed that you were obviously quite close to this one.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Stephen
Let's not monkey about! This is a cracking shot, delightful use of dof and fabulous definition registered. I feel like he's really got it in for me, the eye-popping eyes certainly have it...
That is a gorgeous hi-quality portrait, the lovely colour looks natural and your precise timing is the key. My compliments
Best regards

Hello Stephen,
This is an excellent portrait of the monkey, with its head nicely tilted , as if trying to make a fine composition for you!
The feature details and textural details are pin-sharp, set against a useful, oof b/g.
My warm regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Steve
I really like this one for the contrast in hair and skin. The eyes even though they are small on the head are very piercing. Nice POV on this one.
