Mursi women are well known for using plates to extend their pierced lower lips. They are also quite into other forms of bodily modification, scarification and extending ear lobes, not to mention the more usual hair cuts.

Hello Steve,
So this is where so many footballers got their ideas for hairstyle. But they cover their arms with tattoos instead of scars. When will such earlobes become a fashion in Premier League?
It's a great portrait of this proud and self-assured, and possibly a bit suspicious, young woman. It's also perfectly sharp and well exposed.

I allways like to see people of ethnic minorities, especially when they keep their traditions.
In times of globalization, a rare view.
In comparison to asian tribes, african tribes wear no silver or gold.
Maybe too expensive.
This is a fine portrait, especially with the scars at her arm.

A wonderful capture of this young tribal woman as African people are generally so colourful. A sharp image with great eye-contact & expression of a very sensitive portrait, and looking at those ears I can feel the pain but I love her stylist hairdo! An incredible study, beautifully seen and capture. Congrats another top drawer!
