these wildebeeste are calmly feeding in preparation for the long migration south to tanzania across the treacherous mara river.
not all make it back to the lush pastures in the spring again.
wildebeeste have one calf per year and the numbers at the last count were estimated at 3 million. staggering and cullable. nature however seems to control by death and predation
