In the Sahara desert...it is possible to spend a night (or more) in a bivouac, or bedhouin campsite. As the sun sets the camel guides return to camp. The golden light is very beautiful

The afternoon light is marvelous here. The camels ride seems comfortable here. The night on the desert under the stars is wonderful experience. Great capture.

We missed you here for a while, Kathryn - glad to see a new shot from you! A beautiful one as well, with the golden light falling on the camels and their companion. Leo is right that the horizon is tilted, but the subjects are not, and that is what's more important here. Wonderful clarity and color to this shot - magical indeed!

A great light that makes the colours very beautiful. Very good sharpness too. It would have been better again not to center too much the subject, for example by adding space to the right and making us feel the immensity of the desert ! Very beautiful shot anyway.

The light IS beautiful!
It bathes the camels with a golden hue!
I love the linear composition, all following the f/g triangular dune.

There is a magical light indeed in this scene. The man in his robe holding the camels is perfectly posed with his animals here and the wast expanse of the desert behind them make for a good and natural backdrop.

the glowing evening light certainly adds warmth to a classical desert scene,as I remember we had to pay the camel herder to pose when we visited,I hope you had better luck!

You're right about the light, which lifts this from being an interesting environmental portrait to something significantly better (which isn't supposed to mean that environmental portraits can't be great in their own right). Good compositional sense, with the blue djelaba acting as a useful counterpoint to the dominant oranges. Good work.
