Photographer's Note

It's not really a traditional Easter egg, it's not tasty chocolate! Here is a giant egg (about 15 cm), that of an ostrich with the decoration of savannah elephants drawn on this shell, a nice work of artist. A souvenir brought back from a trip in Namibia.

Lovely souvenir! Well photographed too. I've seen similar decorated ostrich eggs in Jordan and still regret I didn't buy one.

Bonjour Jean,

L'oeuf est bien placé dans le cadrage. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails de l'oeuvre d'art sur l'oeuf d'autruche. La lumière fait ressortir les couleurs. Bonne journée.

I presume this egg is very resistant. I have an egg I bought from the ukrainian colony in curitiba, it is small and painted. nice the drawing of elephants in this one.

In Australia they carve emu eggs which are a similar size. A good interesting photo.

Very original souvenir! I am just surprise that the painted elephant, I suppose it would make more sense to paint the ostrich :)
