Photographer's Note
Crowded, extreme conditions of transport are both everyday life of people Niger, as well as usual fate of those who try to cross Sahara in the big trucks. Many of them die, of thirst, or abandoned during long arduous journey by people traffickers, all in vain attempt to reached paradise called Europe. /www.nygus.info/

Terrific shot, with the very close cropping making the image extremely unusual and captivating. Colour is marvellous, and you captured this person at a good moment with hand over mouth - I wonder why. A really superb portrait, one of the best I have seen.

Witaj Swiatek.
Amazing portrait. The reason why I like is that is not only nice, we can see through the eyes of this man.
Well done.

Ni mniej, ni wiecej.
Nygus wspanialy w swoim rzemiosle.

Great shot. The tight crop really emphasizes the tightness of the situation, and the colors are superb. I love the expression on his face -- a great combination of embarrassed and amused.

Unbelieavable shot, Swiatek. I have never seen and will never see a scene like this, for sure. There is great humour and amazing graphism in this totally unusual scenario. Honestly, I would love to have such transportation sometimes... to break out of the ordinary... even at such a cost. Fantastic, tight and intense shot!
How was your trip?

Hello Swiatek,
This is a fabulous and unique portrait! The framing of the man's face between the feet is unusual and very effective...and his expression, with his hand over his mouth and expressive eyes is really captivating.

Congratulations on winning that very prestigious competition. On first viewing it appears very humorous - until I read your note and understood the harsh reality of this persons situation. Amazing catch. Congratulations once again. Best regards, Roberto
