Photographer's Note
This is the alternate version of the former photograph from Meroe (I prefer horizontal frames though).
Camel men waiting for tourists near the pyramids.
A few tourists have just arrived hence the camel men' excitement.
'My camel is fast'. 'My camel beautiful', 'I give you best price. mister' - they shouted trying to attract the tourists' attention.
One more thing:
Contrary to kwekwekan's impression - the camel men were not saluting me. They were shouting and waving to a group of tourists who stood 50 metres away (see the third photograph).
Just the two closest to me turned their heads to me to see what I was doing.
I was not a part of the group. I came to Meroe solo on my bicycle much earlier and spent two days photographing and trying to befriend the camel people.
Pity I cut the shadows of the camels :-(
See my other pics from Meroe.

Beautiful Pentax :) colors with the soft color of the sand and good contrast overall and nice angle but a shot from the front would be even more interesting. Good sharpness front to back.

Hi again Marcin,
This picture is my favorite of your camel series. There is lots of interesting elements here: the camel men saluting you, the nice diagonal line leading the viewer down the picture, the vibrant mix of crisp sharp colors and the ruins on the horizon to the right. I don't mind that you cut the camel's shadows - the composition is very well done, and it may be harder for the viewer to see all the great details if you had taken a wider angle shot. Hope to see more of your shots from Sudan.
Cheers,
Caleb

This is also my favourite of your camelmen shots. I'm glad you've posted the other two though as they present the situation shown here in a wider context.
I agree with Caleb that cropped shadows are not a problem. Sometimes less is more. What I like most about this image is the simple graphic composition.
Great saturated colours too.
