"dust storm eating the mountain" !!, a photo from Kassala, North

Photographer's Note

This shot was captured in the previous autumn at 5:50 pm when i was on vacation in the city of Kassala in eastern Sudan.
i was taking pictures to the mountain , when the sky was filled with clouds and the sun was creeping out of the clouds ..and suddenly and without introductions storm appeared and was about a block from the dust creeps toward the city
I took camera and ride my bike in my attempt to centralize in a place where photography allows me better, but I faced the storm , i stopped for a moment and documented the moment when the dust was eating the mountain .
Fortunately, i ran away before it reach me :)

Lep pogled i opasan trenutak, dobar tekst o dolasku nevremena sa opisom ...

Not only the mountains are amazing , but this was a fantastic and incredible opportunity to take this picture .
The man in the green fields seems to be not very afraid by the approaching dust storm .

Quite an amazing experience to witness I would presume. Nice light the storm is causing. I think I would be more afraid than the man in the field and certainly afraid for the dust in my camera

Hello Mozafer,
Once I experienced a sandstorm in Tunesia but that was nothing compared to what I see on this picture.
This looks like a fantastic natural phenomenon but also a dangerous one. Glad you escaped on time.
It's an impressive picture and I especially like the colour contrast between the green fields on the foreground, the blue of the sky and the brown colour of the dust and the mountains.

This is not just a spectacular natural phenomenon but it is also a very well taken photo. It is perfectly exposed and a well balanced composition with good proportions between dust, clear sky, mountain and green ground. I wouldn't like to be caught in that dust with my lungs and my camera.

Welcome on TE. I do not remember any TE-member from Sudan, I am looking forward to see many beautiful pictures. Here you witnessed very interesting natural phenomenon and you present it in spectacular way. Excellent composition with the layers of green, yellow and blue. You were lucky to have camera ready in just right moment.
