Photographer's Note
We had to make a small trip recently to the kingdom of Swaziland, which is a small country within by South Africa.
We stayed next to a small village in the mountains near the border of Mozambique. These boys were taking water home after getting it from the communal well that the whole village uses.
We, in the western world take it for granted that when we open a tap water will be there, but for these people it is a daily chore to fetch water.

Hello Wanda,
A very nice snapshot of these three kids and their lovely smiles. They may have to go a long way to collect the water but at least the don't have to carry it on their heads. I like the overcast sky and the mild colours.
Best regards,
Gert

Hi Wanda
Getting the Day's Water and Food for thought, an image like this...
This is super - they look so happy and their killing smiles glue the viewer in not the best of conditions but may be happier than us. This does also show the struggle of others in the world that we take clean running water for granted at the turn of the tap until we see scenes like this. This photo could grace any travel magazine....beautifully done. Congrats :)
Best wishes

Hello Wanda,
Nice, well composed genre. Sadly this kind of scene could also occur in most East-European states as well, mainly in tiny villages.
adores

Hi Wanda!
Indeed this is a very common scene in Africa. Not an easy task because it must be very heavy, but sometimes kids can have so much fun doing it, especially if they find foreigners on the way:)! It was a happy moment, I'm sure. Their expressions are just wonderful!
