Photographer's Note
Once again my lack of bird identification skills comes through, but I think this might be a red shouldered hawk, as they are common in this area of southwest Florida.
It was a little bit breezy last Sunday afternoon when I took this photo and a little gust of wind tried to knock him off the fence post forcing him to raise a wing in order to remain standing on the post.
Canon 400mm f2.8 lens w/ 2x teleconverter.

WOW! this is so very cool. The details are amazing. The composition serves well as the barbed wire leads the eye to the apex of the wooden post to the treat that is this beautiful creature.

Superb shot! Excellent colour, light, and detail. Great timing...i don't know the ID of the birds, but I know this is one of the great shots I have seen.
