ALENTEJO, a photo from Beja, South

Photographer's Note

The South ("Baixo") Alentejo is an arid region,
isolating the very well known Algarve touristic region from the rest of the country. It has awesome landscape and is a recent discovery for the Portuguese seeking unspoilt natural places to relax.
It was occupied after the Romans by the Moorish and cities and villages like Serpa, Mértola, Alvito, Alcácer do Sal, and of course Beja were very important
in that times.

Ola Rui! Alentejo is wonderful. I was in Evora. Very typical landscape. Excellent lonely trees. Nice natural lightness and brightness. Very good colours. Original composition. Saudacoes!

Hello Rui, Alentejo is my favourite place in Portugal. But not in summer, in spring when flowers cover all the plains. Nice photo, which is typical Alentejan. Regards, Tolga

Olá Rui. O Alentejo dá fotos boas para onde que que o pessoal se vire :-). Interessante a linha formada pela cerca e o modo como desaparece. 1/40 e o vento (ao que me parece pelos ramos no 1º plano) deixaram a imagem com pouca definição mas gosta do trio. Um abraço. PAulo

Not much color, but a good depth with the different parts of the image: the foreground fence, the first trees, then the lone tree and second fence at the top of the hill.
