Photographer's Note

Today after a lot of effort, managing to post again. The site was shut down for server maintenance for a few hours.

Around 50 Km from Kota across a bridge, is the amazingly located fort called Bhainsrorgarh, audaciously perched on a cliff right above the mighty River Chambal. The 260 year old Bhainsrorgarh Fort is one of the most spectacular palaces in Rajasthan, built on a 200 foot cliff overlooking the wide River Chambal. It contains a small village inside it, and the principal building here is a private property being converted into a hotel. Bhainsrorgarh itself is a small walled village, and the area around here is unspoilt by mass tourism.

Bhainsrorgarh can be reached by road by crossing this bridge, or alternately the single boat which you would can see in my earlier picture of this place. I took this picture from the bank of the river Chambal, climbing down from the main road, but from this view, the fort is not visible & is more to the left of the frame. The placid waters of the River Chambal provided excellent reflections & my first impression when I first saw the bridge & it's reflection on the river waters, was that of an arrowhead pierced into the cliff-end on the other fertile imagination at work again ;-)
