Photographer's Note
Laurent Schwebel
Was a well known french photographer, on February 8 at about 8.15 AM he was taking photos in this square when a thief approached and tried to steal his camera
He resisted the robbery and struggled, unable to get it, the offender pulled out a knife, stabbed Laurent in the chest and fled, was cached by the police minutes later
Laurent was dead
He behaves in a very brave way
I took this photo 3 days before these facts at the same square which seems so quiet being so dangerous even at day
San Martin Square
is one of the oldest squares in the city and also one of the most beautiful, for its lush vegetation, large and beautiful trees and a variety of plant due at the work of Carlos Thays a French landscape architect
The pink flowers at the BG are from "Palos Borrachos" (Drunken Trees), a South American Tree
Kavanagh Building
Opened on January 3,1936, was the first skyscraper in Buenos Aires made of reinforced concrete, has a height of 120 meters and rationalistic style
Since 1999 National Historic Landmark

Hello Maria,
I have just read your note and have learned what has taken place here in this park. It is very difficult for me to imagine the event, this park seems so peaceful. We are often out there with very expensive equipment; it could have happened to one of us. I found the situation so chilling and very unfortunate. Having said this, the park is so beautiful now with all the trees and the green lawn. And the building on the left side of the photo is a stunningly attractive example of architecture, which is facing this beautiful park. The rose colour flowers and distant trees are a very soothing example of the arrival of the springtime. The sunlight, and the peaceful atmosphere, the presented image is captivating in many ways. I appreciate your visit today. I hope that we will meet again in near future.
With my very best and kind regards,
have a very pleasant day,
Thank you, Maria
Nobu.

Hi Maria
A fine image and more interestingly how you relate this to the tragic event, moment of life story, and this image says it all and your description of it is inspired and beautiful thoughtful words to go with a very moving and I love it as this image does say a lot. A tribute to the evid photograher and not to be forgotten while many others remain traumatised by the experience. Photowise this image is beatifully taken and symbolic but I love your words even more. Its great tribute. Well done, Maria
Best regards

Hi Maria
The place looks very quiet and not dangerous... a suitable tribute to this unfortunate photographer... probably safer to let the camera go!

Saludos cordiales.
Luis.

'' In memory of Laurent '' yes we heard about the tragedy - all for greed - a senseless crime...
I was not sure which park the crime was committed - such a lovely photo of the park now a shadow has been cast.
Kind regards,
Dawn.

Ola Maria,
great your contribution to the undeserved death of the famous French photographer in this place from the thief.
In other respects the place looks very attractive with the stairs to adds perspective and depth in the image.
Have a good week,Danos

saludos

Pozdrav.
Velika tragedija ...
Dobar tekst sa datim podacima ...
Lep pogled na mesto i oblakoder, dobra kompozicija.
Dobra ostrina snimka i kontrast, lepe boje.
Tezak je zivot u velikim zgrada, kao u kavezu.
Imajte lep i uspesan dan, sve najbolje u novoj nedelji koja pocinje.
Srecno.
Paja.
Google.
Greetings.
The great tragedy ...
Good text with the given data ...
Nice view of the place and the skyscraper, a good composition.
Good image sharpness and contrast, beautiful colors.
Life is difficult in large buildings, like in a cage.
Have a nice and successful day, all the best in the new week begins.
Good luck.
Paja.

Hello Nikkito
Such a sad story and a lesson to all of us to always be aware of our surroundings, especially in big cities. You would think he would have been safe at 8:15 am with plenty of people about. Anyway, a good catch of the skyscraper and the fg park. Tfs! Nice tribute.

Bonjour Maria
Une information qui est passée presque inaperçue chez nous; c'est désolant
Je note ici un cadrage parfait avec l'édifice où l'on apprécie le volume, ainsi qu'une belle luminosité sans dominantes :)
Bien cordialement

The note describs a terrible and most appalling moment that can happened to any tourist or a person just passing by, Maria.
The homage is well in place, and wonderfully shown two subjects: the tall building and in contrast the beautiful garden.
Well taken and done this gesture.
Buen tardes, y buen fin de semana,
Ike
