Castello di Orsano – Sellano (PG)
The castle, or what remains of it, rises on the eastern slope of Mount Purano (1297), on the slope of the Fauvella tributary of the Menotre, on the border between the territory of Spoleto and that of Foligno and is in the municipality of Sellano.
The settlement has a type of spur with longitudinal distension and uses a geometric configuration with parallel axes usual in similar cases, the lookout tower was visible until a few years ago.
From the Sassovivo cartulary it appears that it was "Longobard Curtis".

Ciao Silvio,
amazing spot! and you captured it from a great point of view to well illustrate its fantastic location on top of a narrow hill.
The light was harsh and challenging but you have dealt very well with it. I would possibly increase the contrasts and saturation a bit.
The distant hills look interesting as a background with some play of the light with slight fog.

Hello Silvio,
The small castle loks fantastic and it's very nicely placed on top of the ridge. While the nearest hillside is comparatively dark there is still a very fine light on the trees. The entire foreground makes a strong contrast with the bright and hazy distant view.

Ciao Silvio,

The castle seems to cling precariously to the top of the narrow, hilltop ridge. Good sharpness and a nice elevated pov. I like the side light catching the left part of the trees and buildings. Tfs!

Cela pourrait être à la fois une belle maison sur sa colline ou encore une petite église avec son clocher et sa toute petite cloche, mais l'ensemble est très beau sous cette lumière.

Hello Silvio, from a high vantage point, you have given us a great view across the valley, with the castle and settlement taking pride of place in the composition.
The light throughout is well managed. And even though the distant hillside is slightly hazy, we can still see lots of detail.

What a fine viewpoint!
From here, you have been able to give a sense of the imposing height of the castle, above the surrounding land.
The light is glorious, picking out the castle and some of the associated trees.
You have created a great sense of depth.

Silvio, that castle was built on a hill slope. It is surrounded by thick woods. The panorama should be beautiful from its windows. Fine colors, good image quality, instructive photo note, regards.
