Aurora, a photo from Alaska, West

Photographer's Note

Taken last April, one of my last trips out to see the Aurora this year. After mid April, it doesn't get dark enough to see the Aurora. Approaching the end of August, they should start making their appearance again. Stay tuned for more aurora pictures as the days get shorter here in interior Alaska.

Hi Eric,
The tonality and the hue attached to the green aura is eye catching.I don't remember having seen this different kind of image on TE, for a long time.

you have managed to convey the magic aurora colours very well with good use being made of the silhouetted trees.

Superb shot of an Aurora borealis, the composition with the trees in the foreground is gorgeous, the Aurora itself sublime. Perfect exposure and execution indeed.
To see an Aurora borealis with my own eyes, that is something that is really very high on my personal bucket list. Just have to find the time once to travel up to the north of Finland on the right time ....
