Photo prise dans un un petit village près de Gokarna, lors d’une balade à moto en fin d’après-midi. Cette femme attendait le bus. J’ai dû recadrer en format carré car il y avait un autre personnage qui gênait.

Photo taken in a small village near Gokarna during a motorcycle ride in the late afternoon. This woman waiting for the bus. I had to crop in square format because there was another character that bothered.

Hello Nard (Bernard Blanchard)!

The street photo “La vie en rose” details a small village near Gokarna. The middle aged village woman is waiting for her bus. The village street shows rustic mud walls, dried wooden poles supporting the shed, and the drainage on the roadside are arousing interest. The well composed picture shows slightly hard light (and therefore shades), vibrant and warm colors with good contrast and sharpness.

J'aime bien les colours contrastees, le profondeur de champ et la lumiere dans cette photo. Aussi, la composition est interessante, montrant le sujet dans un contexte plus large, avec l'arret d'autobus et aussi son ombre.

Hello Bernard,
The coomposition has probably gained a lot from having the "bothering character" cropped out. The square shape is very attractive, and the picture still has a quite strong vertical accent thanks to the wooden poles and the slender woman. There is a quite refined balance of colours between the woman's pink sari and the faded blue part of the wall.

Bonjour Bernard,

Pas toujours facile de photographier les femmes indiennes, bien que je crois qu'elles soient moins réticentes dans le sud.

Tout de même, l'approche ici semble respecter une certaine distance, où le sujet apparait dans son contexte. Les couleurs saturées du sari et du mur tranchent avec les teintes terreuses, desquelles se détache la dame.

La lumière abaissée apporte de forts contrastes, et l'ombre projetée sur le mur enrichit la photo, d'autant plus qu'elle est placée entre deux poteaux.

Après une critique d'André, il n'y a plus grand chose à dire si ce n'est que j'aime la photo de cette femme très élégante dans son sari rose et qui semble sortir de la "prison" dans laquelle son ombre est enfermée.

La photo est rythmée par les verticales et les 2 couleurs sur fond d'ocre. Le regard de cette femme est bien dirigé.

Si seulement la vie serrai en rose pour beaucoup des indiens.
Mais l'Inde est neamoins une pays si colorées comme ton photo prouve parfaitement.
Le beau sari de la femme contraste bien avec les mûrs et les potons en bois dans une etât mois bien.

It is indeed a very good catch. I like the positioning of the lady in the frame. Special light on her. Great exposer management and very good colours. I enjoyed the composition a lot. Thanks for sharing.
