Photographer's Note

Today CNY2009 will close and this is my last post of the Lunar dateline. Tonight will be the lunar eclipse. I am showing you a glimpse of Chinatown in Kuching, along the oldest main street of Jalan Padungan, where Chinese shops selling many things are thriving for periods before pre-war till today. This one is just a typical colorful shops selling fruits and some daily needs and has been decorated with lanterns over the CNY period. Most shops along this street are closed at night, except a handful selling fruits, flowers, pubs and restaurants. It is not about photography skill for this one, I am sure you can see, but more to show a part of Kuching that may or may not look like your city? A lot of things, colors to see. By the time you finished viewing this, I would have started my family dinner specially prepared for this event at 6.30pm. A Chinese tradition passed down for generations, origin from China. Regards, bill
