Into the Fire, a photo from Uttarakhand, North

Photographer's Note

I took this nature shot after a long long time during my latest trip to the cool hills of Mussoorie. Well, the hills didn't turn out to be as cool as I describe them which the people thought is due to global warming but things could change once the monsoon sets in. I spotted this scene during a drive back from 'Yamuna Pul' (Yamuna bridge) about an hours drive from Main Mussoorie. Yamuna Pul is where some amateurs go for mild river rafting since the waters are pretty calm. I loved this burning orange hues and look of the setting sun.

Watching the sun set behind the mountains is an amazing sight. I really like the silhouettes of the mountains. I caught a similar one here but the sun had just set.

Sure is lovely and stunning sunset, Not only beautiful, but you got so much depth shooting against such light, I feel like I need sunglass, because even at sunset, you know when you look directly at the sun, and you look somewhere else, and you see nothing for like a minute. Yet the layer of mountain is clear visible and well define. with each layer it from the closest to us being darker and faded out as it goes further into the sunset. My complements.

the effect of global warming is very noticeable here but the beauty of this capture lets me forget that it is one of the problems facing our mother earth today! the colours are just as amazing as your own work!
