"Kiss Me", a photo from Victoria, East

Photographer's Note

In the WS is a shot of the coastline showing what was once the London Bridge, renamed after the collapse to London Arch.
This was taken along the Great Ocean road at the Twelve Apostles, somewhere between Apollo Bay and Port Campbell, a very popular spot not only for locals but visitors alike, especially those from overseas. Parks Victoria has built boardwalks, tracks, and viewing areas to ensure you get spectacular views of the Twelve Apostles. The scenery here has been compared to and is equal to best in the world for natural beauty & is better than most.
This young Chinese girl was a tourist to Victoria, she is also a student, at present studying & living in Queensland.
I post it know because I think it is very appropriate as this was taken in the company of Alfred (alftrek) and Bill (trekks) and very soon I will be travelling to Malaysia in the company of Alfred to meet with Bill, it has brought back memories, good fond memories of the time spent together, at times carrying on like twelve year old school boys but it was all good clean fun.
The title “Kiss Me” was a unanimous decisions by these little school boys, my idea later was to call it “hello” after the song made famous by Lionel Richie where he sings “is it me your looking for" but I realised the poor girl had the sun in her eyes & she was squinting. She wanted her photo taken of her & her friend with the Apostles in the BG, we later asked for several photos, this is one them. I hope to have that opportunity again in Malaysia, of carrying on like a 12 year old.

Scattata nella strada “Great Ocean Road” a i Dodici Apostoli, tra Apollo Bay e Port Campbell, un luogo spesso frequentato, non solo per i locali, ma anche da i turisti, soprattutto quelli dall'estero. Parks Victoria ha costruito passerelle, le tracce, per essere sicuri di ottenere una vista spettacolare dei Dodici Apostoli. La costiera qui è stata paragonata on gli migliori posti nel mondo per la bellezze naturale e è uno degli migliori.
Questa ragazza cinese giovane e carina è turista di Victoria, è anche studente, per ora studia e vive nel Queensland.
Ora esce questa foto perché penso che sia il momento adatto, questa foto e stata catturata in compagnia di Alfred (alftrek) e Bill (trekks) e fra un paio di giorni ci rincontriamo in Malesia, ho bei ricordi del tempo trascorso insieme, a volte eravamo come dei bambini di dodici anni, scherzosi e con tanto divertimento.
Il titolo "Kiss Me" è stato deciso tra questi ragazzi di dodici anni, poi la idea mia era di chiamarla "Hello" mi e venuto in mente la canzone di Lionel Richie, dove canta "è che mi stai pensando" ma mi sono reso conto che la povera ragazza aveva il sole negli occhi. Voleva una foto con la sua amica e gli Apostoli nel BG, poi noi ci abbiamo chiesto per diverse foto, prima lei da sola e poi con l'amica, questa è per conto mio e la foto più bella, la ringrazio. Spero di aver l'occasione di nuovo in Malesia, con Alfred & Bill di comportarsi come tre ragazzini.

I think this a a beautiful natural portrait and an excellent note. Wonderful colour tone and clarity, she is a pretty subject and the the blue in the background really sets a scene along with the wind. Good shot!

Ciao Santo! What a sweet portrait of this lovely young lady, lost in her thoughts. The way she looks she MUST be in love, what a nice moment in your life, isn't it. Your portrait is really fantastic. I like her natural look and how the wind goes through her hair. Cute! There is a German women magazine that I sometimes buy and since 2010 they have no longer professional models but use women like maybe her. See how pretty she is and she looks healthy and happy ... not like these sometimes too thin models that should tell us how we should look. Crossed my mind ... complimenti for this great work ... saw your ws, I have just received a fisheye lense for my birthday, I am a beginner but it is FUN, my first tries look pretty cool ... have a good week, Barbara.

The title is just a cheeky way to remember how much fun we had in a day of good light, windy coast, great photography and most of all in the best of company, for me in another land. And it just seems like yesterday when we were having a good laugh at this girl and we were shooting her portrait while she enjoyed it herself for the attention.

If I remember it correctly this post is a little brighter than what I saw but I think it is better to be on brighter side of things in life, these days :)

And to make sure that you could not get lost along the way, I had requested that you travel with Alftreks to land safely here in Borneo where we could continue Chapter 2 of our journey again. See you in few more hours and you will have fun with Orang Utan in the natural jungle habitat.

Brilliant! Eyes closed, waiting to be kissed..hahaha. The light on her face and hair brings out fantastic details and colour tones. Excellent bokeh of the BG. This is the best. You wont see anything better in malaysia, well, it will be very different.

That smile is much more pleasant than that other one - I guess you agree. This expression is very subtle and full of details, well framed by the hair in the wind. The title seems appropriate, but she seems more like a dreamer to me, thinking of something far away, and not expecting anything at the moment. But that's excetly the richness of the picture - people can interpret many different feelings when the eyes are closed. Good work, congratulations! Ah, and the girl has a beautiful face.
